Kitty Wilkin is coming to visit May 30-June 1. 

  • Friday lecture is free for members. 

  • Saturday workshop- From Watercolor to Quilt

Block Lotto for Lightening Block:

  • Focus: curves, MQG resources, controlled improv, reimagining a traditional block

  • Palette: Solids; pick two colors from palette (doesn't have to be exact match)

Committee Announcements

Swap & Challenge

  • Challenge: Stripe It! 

  • Due: November 8th, 2025

  • Focus: Stripes. Make stripes with fabric, used striped fabric, the PRIMARY focus must be stripes. 

  • There will be monetary awards for 1st-3rd and participation prizes.

Social

  • 15th anniversary party in July. Members only meeting. We will have a raffle. 

    • Members will donate items in May and you will receive tickets to use for the raffle. 

    • Bring modern, new, unused, gently used books, bundled smaller items. 

    • Tickets given out in July.

    • Ticket guidelines on website

  • Jackman’s Sew Day! Save the date: June 28th

Charity Committee

  • We are trying to get a spokesperson here from Epsworth Family Services. This will be confirmed/announced later.

  • Quilts due 11/8/2025.

  • Post your quilts on instagram and tag the guild @stlmqg 

  • Throws or twins for 11-19 year olds. No baby quilts. No specific length requirements. 

  • Charity Committee has a package of charity labels that can be placed on quilts. “STLmqg cares”

Quilt Show Committee

  • Mary Beth Oberlin and Candice Marshall are the chairs on the committee

  • Save the date: March 14th and 15th, 2026

    • Set up March 13th

  • Help needed- Publicity team. Email quiltshow@stlmqg.org

  • Send information on vendors and vendor experiences at quilt show email 

Sew Me Committee

  • Will be held in October at Marriott West.
