Community Outreach Quilt by STLMQG members

Our answer to the challenge of designing a rectangular medallion quilt was to incorporate two large overlapping medallions.  The medallions' preliminary iterations contained a variety of blocks but due to the complexities of piecing as a group, the committee decided to embrace minimalism, use a single block design, and let simple squares of color form the medallions.  Almost 100 members of the STLMQG made improvisational slash-and-insert blocks for the quilt top.
