President Octavia Pitts opened the December meeting at 10:05 a.m. on Saturday, December 13. This was our members appreciation meeting and the final one of the year!

Balance as of 11/30 - $22,238.30 and membership is up to 204!

Announcements:

*We’re still in need of board candidates! Please consider guiding our guild.*

  • Board elections - positions for President and Secretary will be up in January! We encourage anyone who is interested to ask Octavia and Abbie to get more information.

    • 2 year terms

    • Election will be held at January Meeting

    • Must be present to vote

    • Election Officiant will be Hope Wyss (contact info - hope.wyss@gmail.com)

    • If interested, submit name to Hope prior to the January meeting

  • Membership renewals 1/1/26

  • Committee SignUp Genius is LIVE! We encourage EVERYONE to sign up for at least one committee. 

  • January Program: String Quilts with Sandy

  • Details for Workshops and Speakers for 2026 are coming! So many exciting things in store in the New Year.

Quilt Show: 

  • Quilt Submissions open December 15

  • Submissions close January 15

  • Help Desk

    • At January meeting, there will be members available to help you submit. If help is needed, please bring all the information needed (blank form on website)

  • All information for submissions is on the website - make sure you’re logged in!

    • How to find that information is in the slides from the December meeting.

  • Submissions

    • Notices of acceptance will be sent prior to Feb. 14 meeting

    • Collection Dates:

      • Feb. 14 meeting

      • Feb. 28 location TBD

    • Plastic bags for storage or they will be available for $1 each

  • Tell your friends! Get the word out! We want as many people attending as possible. Postcards are available for pickup at meetings.

  • Special Demonstrations

    • Bed Turning - featuring modern baby quilts! These will be quilts that are not part of the exhibit.

      • This will be an item on the volunteer list

    • Sunday Fashion Show - Wear your quilted clothing, bags, etc. and walk the runway!

      • This will be an item on the volunteer list
