REMINDERS
--- SewMe 2023 Registration ---
Have you paid your registration fees for SewMe yet? It's time. You can pay at the meeting or pay online (the payment processor is working now). Gail will take checks or cash at the meeting but if you pay in cash, stand there until she marks your name down. You will receive an email confirmation once it's marked off on the website.
We fully expect to sell out Saturday and maybe Friday. If we end up with a waitlist, at some point unpaid confirmations will be released to those on the wait list. Avoid getting nagged to death and pay now.
--- ROUND ROBIN ---
ROUND 4 - Email guild by midnight 8/11/23 for prize drawing. (DO NOT POST ON SOCIAL MEDIA). Prize (awarded in August): Quilt Improv Book
ROUND 5 - All participants bring the current quilt top to the guild meeting to commence 4th pass.
Do not let the original quilter see progress on their top.
Prize (awarded in October - Oct 14th meeting) - $30 Jackman's Fabrics gift card
--- MQG - Quiltcon Registration ---
If you think you might be interested in attending QuiltCon in 2024, make sure you can log into the MQG site. You'll want to get their emails and be able to register. Registration for choice workshops goes very quickly, it pays to plan ahead. Link to website.
--- QuiltCon Challenge Quilt ---
Each year the Modern Quilt Guild invites member guilds and individuals to make a quilt to be displayed at the next QuiltCon and to benefit charity. Our Community Outreach Challenge Committee will present their quilt design and members will be invited to sign out quilt block packets (containing fabric and instructions) and make a block for our challenge quilt. Blocks will need to be returned at SewMe STL or at the October 15th meeting.

The SewMe committee is looking for quality items for retreat raffles. Got anything to donate, bring to the meeting.
If you have any charity projects completed, remember to drop them off. Check the website for information and patterns. Link
Got quilting stuff that you no longer want? Bring it for the Free Table. Please, only quilty/crafty/sewing stuff and try to keep it modern. No cast off clothing. Anything left behind will be pitched at the end of the meeting.
A member is collecting scraps for a middle school home-ec teacher whose class is making dog beds. So if you have scraps, bring them!
Wear your handmade name tag for an attendance prize raffle ticket.
The best part of the meeting is Show and Share; bring your projects to show off.
